I want to take this time to go over some of the things that are going on in the world so when you look at this page in the new millenium you can remember how crazy things were. Well the big thing going on right now is the nationwide talk about the school shooting at columbine highschool. The Sixers are in the play-offs for the first time in 8 years. The Eagles, Flyers, and Phillies are still playing the role of a sports team. Hip-hop has crossed over and taken white America by storm. We are coming to the close of Ed Rendell's tenor as mayor of Philadelphia. Temple made it to the elite eight in the tournament. The economy is doing very well. The nation found out that our president is a playa! The crisis in Kosovo is still going on. Everybody and there mom is doing Tae-Bo. The whole city is hoping that the four-horsemen of Philly can save the sports scene: Iverson, Rolen, Lindros, Mcnabb. We learned that the girls don't want scrubs and that the guys don't want pigeons.
